OP VULTURE - Shoplifter Imprisoned Victoria McQuaid |
||
|
Victoria McQuaid of Tarnsyke Road, Lancaster has been found guilty of three occasions of theft from shops and stalls and one of racially aggravated common assault. She was imprisoned by Lancashire Magistrates Court on 21st January 2026 for 48 weeks and ordered to pay £236.60 compensation.
The courts heard on two occasions McQuaid walked into a Lancaster city centre bakery on 3rd and 4th October 2025 and selected items of food and drink and then walked off stealing the items.
The court also heard that McQuaid walked into a Preston supermarket on the 17th January 2026 where she tried to steal a bottle of alcohol but is stopped before leaving the store by a member of staff. The staff member asks McQuiad to hand over the bottle of alcohol but instead McQuaid throws it onto the floor smashing it in front of the staff member. McQuiad then starts shouting at another staff member calling him a "PAKI BASTARD. BLACK BASTARD and saying "GO BACK TO YOUR OWN COUNTRY" and "YOU DO NOT BELONG HERE" as well as hitting a staff member and spitting at them.
The behaviour of this female makes uncomfortable reading but it shows that how she behaves is not acceptable in our city and wider afield in Lancashire. Lancashire Constabulary will always investigate reports of all shoplifting and those individuals who are violent and abusive to our shop workers we will put before the courts on every possible occasion for their just punishment.
